[Lesson 5] Raising From Strength

Value-led Retention & Expansion

Read time: 5 minutes

Welcome to the fifth lesson of our mini-series on raising from a point of strength. In this installment, we'll explore the Bottom of the Funnel (BoFu), where your focus shifts from acquiring customers to retaining them, keeping them engaged, and expanding revenue through the delivery of continuous value.

The BoFu is often the most overlooked part of the Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy, yet it's where the real growth and sustainability happen. Your existing customers are not just one-time transactions; they are the lifeblood of your business.

Before we dive into how you can improve your value-led retention and expansion, let’s understand how critical retention of paying customers/users is for a business: Research shows that a mere 5% retention rate increase can increase the business revenue by 25%-95%, on the downside, having a leaky boat can severely hurt your growth rate as a business and you can find yourself in the vicious churn cycle where you are not able to retain new customers/users you bring in.

Luckily you have subscribed to the right newsletter that will give you the tools and strategies you need to implement in order to drive retention and expansion of existing paying customers/users.
